My Family
Family restoration has been one of the most powerful and defining themes of my life. I am married to my wife, Katherine, and together we have raised three children. Today, I am also blessed to be the grandfather of five. My family is not only my greatest joy, but also the foundation of my healing, growth, and faith.
Our journey has not been without hardship. Like much of my story in It's a Silver Lining!, our family life was shaped by seasons of struggle, loss, and uncertainty. We faced addiction, financial collapse, health scares, broken trust, and moments when walking away seemed easier than staying together. Yet, through those trials, my family chose perseverance over despair and forgiveness over resentment.
Katherine's strength, patience, and unwavering love played a central role in the restoration of our marriage. Our children grew up witnessing both failure and redemption, learning firsthand that resilience is not about avoiding hardship, but about rising after it. Together, we learned that even the most painful chapters can lead to deeper connection, renewed faith, and unexpected grace.
Today, my family stands as living proof that healing is possible and that brokenness does not have to be the end of the story. They continue to inspire my writing and remind me daily that love, faith, and the willingness to see silver linings can transform even the most difficult circumstances.
